If you power on the vehicle with a nickel-metal-hydride battery and low voltage detection is currently enabled, the ESC may immediately blink red to indicate low voltage. When this happens, re-calibrate the ESC. First, power it off by disconnecting the battery. Turn on the transmitter and reconnect the battery. Now press and hold the EZ-Set button until it turns red and then release immediately. The LED will blink once and turn off. Quickly pull and hold full throttle while watching the LED. When you see two blinks go right to full reverse without pausing in the middle. Continue holding full reverse as you press and hold the EZ-Set button for around ten seconds… Now release the trigger and button. The LED should now glow red to indicate nickel-metal hydride mode. This is a mousetrap car. They’re common for competitions in high school physics classes Just like the egg drop challenge or building toothpick bridges. The goal is to build a car that travels the furthest or goes the Fastest, but in either case the only power provided to move the car is from a single mousetrap. So today I’m going to show you how to win first place by building some cars with the World-record holder.
Then we’re gonna go to the West Coast Championships to see all these principles in action, and wait don’t leave! I know that 99.7% of you have never, nor will ever make one of these, but I will break down in simple terms how I know this car will go twice as far as this one, and then I’ll prove it. And then we’ll discuss why you see these DVD wheels so often, but do they work? And why do some winning cars have wheels that look like this? But before we fly all the way out the Texas to meet the world record holder, I need to lay the foundation for the one overarching fundamental physics principle behind the mousetrap car.
Are you hoping to find a match today? Yeah! I mean… I’m hoping not to continue this pattern of Very very bad men. I love to dance so I don’t like it when I’m with somebody who’s a total debbie downer or Boring and just kind of stands there and doesn’t wanna dance I would definitely Want someone open-minded but not a freak, so you shouldn’t be into feet, but… you know a little choking is fun little ya know [timer ticking] I do like ’em tall because I’m…pretty tall for an Asian girl and when I Put on my heels. I would like to still be shorter than my man. So they need to be I think at least 5’11 but I prefer like 6 feet tall. I would not want to be with somebody who wants kids within 7 years. I love kids I’ve been an aunt since I was 10 So I’m like natural around babies and kids, but I want to really just share a love with somebody that’s so great And it’s all about loving each other before we can, you know, bring somebody else in the world I think you should be mentally stable as well financially stable because you’re gonna be responsible for Shaping their future.
It’s kind of a big pressure cuz you could really fuck somebody up in the head if you’re not There and I take that really seriously You know what I have a younger brother and anybody younger than me, I just automatically think of my brother so Like they could be the hottest person in the room and if they tell me they’re even a month younger than me I’m just like oh, I just see my brother and it’s like…ugh. Would not date my brother I thought there would be maybe four guys left? But there were none. So today I learned that uh, my criteria is…hahaha not I guess, easy as I thought it was but I’m okay with that because I Don’t, like these are values and things that I don’t want to bend and change right now I used to really beat myself up in my past relationships after they ended cuz I felt like I wasn’t good enough but I think I’m at a place in my life right now where I know what I want and there’s nothing wrong with Having these standards.
You shouldn’t have to bend your values and what you want to please somebody else.
Good news! Having a life-threatening emergency just got a whole lot easier. America’s 911 emergency system is about to enter the 21st century. Apple said today the iPhone’s next operating system will be able to tell 911 operators exactly where the call is coming from. Currently, iPhones provide only the location of the cell tower transmitting that call. Yes, 911 can now use your iPhone to see exactly where you are. And I know some people have privacy concerns. Uh, but in an emergency, I want 911 to know everything about me. Yeah. In fact, when I call 19… 911, I want them to answer, like, “Trevor, what is it, nigga? You all right? “Are you okay, man? We comin’ right now! We’ll see you right now!” I think it’s about time though. All these other apps already know how to track us, right? Google Maps, Yelp, Uber. So 911 can just do the same thing. Well, I mean, not the exact same thing. I hope they don’t copy Uber, because, I mean, then you’re gonna be dying and frustrated. You’ll be like… Yeah. They’ll be like, “Hello, this is 911. We’re here. Where are you?” And you’ll be like, “I’m on the corner! I’m the person being robbed!” They’ll be like, “Okay, can you come to us?” “Wait, no, I can’t…
Hold on. Can we go to him? “I know we’re being robbed, but can-can we… No, we can’t come.” “Sorry, sir, it’s been five minutes. We’re canceling your emergency.” “No!” Hope it’s not exactly the same. In other news, you know how we’ve all been waiting for the future to release flying cars? Well, this is the complete opposite. Hello, my name is Grant Haughawout with Andretti Autosport, crewmember on the 98 car driven by Marco Andretti, and today we’re talking about speed. There are a few times during the month of May where a speed limit is imposed on a driver. The first would be when a rookie, a first-time driver at the Speedway, has to take what they call a rookie test, and you have to maintain a certain speed for so many laps, and I believe the speed range is anywhere from 180 up to 200+ miles an hour, and they give those to you in 10-mile-an-hour increments, and that’s to bring the driver comfortably up to speed. The other time is during the race when a driver breaks what they call the pit speed limit, and that is 60 miles an hour. If the driver exceeds that limit on pit entrance, a penalty is imposed and they have to drive through pit lane at pit speed limit, which is 60, right away, and the penalty basically is losing time on track.
IndyCar enforces the speed limits by their timing and scoring system, which is a pretty elaborate system that they set up at all the tracks we go to. IndyCar has something similar to Indiana’s Slowpoke Law. If your car is too slow, that would make it unsafe, so they would pull you into the pit and stop racing, whether it’s due to a car that’s been in an accident and can’t travel or keep up with the race pace, or potentially a driver that can’t keep up with the other drivers..
Hey what’s up guys. I’m ThioJoe, and as many of you have requested. Today’s video is gonna show you. how you can quadruple your Wi-Fi. Internet speed for free. And in some cases, even faster than that. We’re basically gonna use some household materials that you already have to improve your router’s antennas so they are more efficient and powerful to drastically improve their performance. I’ll be explaining a few things you need for this, how it works, and of course how to do it. And it’s surprisingly simple, so let’s get into it. First of all, let’s quickly go over some basic background info about how your router works so that you’ll know what’s going on. And don’t worry, I’ll make it easy to understand. As many of you know, inside every router is a set of antennas that send and receive radio waves between your computer or another device.
When receiving data, the radio waves cause electrons in the antennas to oscillate at the frequency of the wave. Which then causes a corresponding electrical current in the antenna. The router then takes the electrical signal and reads the information encoded within it. And when it’s sending data, it simply does the reverse to create radio waves from an electrical signal to send that data. But the problem is that antennas and routers are relatively small.
Hello, welcome to the two mile tips from tips4running.com otherwise known as the 3200 meter run. The first thing is I hope you’re in shape coming into the track season because you can’t fake a two mile race. You better be ready when the track season starts. As for the race itself, I see two different ways you can run this race. The first way is what I call go out hard and hope not to die. That is the stupid way to run, quite honestly. You shouldn’t do this. You’re not going to run as fast as you could, and it’s going to hurt like crazy. The second way is running even splits. This is hard to do to, but at least you won’t feel like death the whole race, and you have a chance of passing people later on in the race.
So let’s say you have a goal time of twelve minutes. That means each lap should be around one minute and thirty seconds. So you start your race off, you want to be under one minute and thirty seconds, but not too much under that for your first lap. Then as you approach the half-mile, you hope to be at three minutes, and actually during this whole first mile, you want to run this as relaxed as you possibly can while trying to stay at your goal pace. Now if your goal pace once again is twelve minutes, you better be under six minutes at the mile. After running as relaxed and as quick as you can for the first mile, here comes the tough part after a mile.
– [Jason] If we don’t stop polluting our planet, our planet will stop providing life for us. It’s time to do the right thing, and slow down. (car accelerating) Or we could keep making cars faster. Last year’s Audi RS7 and Tesla P90D both hit 60 miles an hour in seconds making them the quickest four-doors ever. Now, there are faster versions. The RS7 Performance has 45 more horsepower, and the P100D has ludicrous plus. Sooner or later, all this nonsense has to stop, but until then, it’s time to see which of the world’s quickest four-doors is the best world’s quickest sedan.
(upbeat music) (car horn beeps) Johnny. – Hey Jason. – If you had $135,000 dollars in your pocket. – I would not be at work today. – And you had to buy a car. – G63! – Stop saying that. – Dodge Viper ACR. – And you had to fit crap and or people in it. – Oh. Um, I’d probably get one of these two. They’re pretty good. – [Jason] Pretty good? They’re quicker and or faster than the Viper. – [Johnny] Yeah. – [Jason] I think it’s safe to say that these two are. – Modern day muscle cars! – No they’re not. (sad music) – Oh. Well that sort of ruins our plan to take them drag racing. – I guess that would be ludicrous.
Gav: Hello, sweet Internet. I’m Gav, Dan: I’m Dan Gav: That’s DJ Dan. We’re the Slow Mo Guys Gav: A while ago we did a video where we spun a CD so fast it shook itself to pieces. Gav: It sort of wobbled and then flung out Dan: Wobbled? Gav: Yeah. Dan: Right, okay, well this time we got some records. We’re kickin’ it old school.
Gav: Yeah, I feel bad breaking these to be honest. It’s almost like ripping a book. It’s just not to be done, is it? Dan: I know what you mean but we did- I did get them from Goodwill. Gav: Yeah. Dan: So I feel like people are done with them. They’ve experienced it. Dan: Now we’re going to put it into a second use, a second life. Gav: So, immortalized forever on the internet. Dan: So this is the loading procedure If you didn’t see the previous video Dan: Then I’ll explain this something. This is actually the motor from inside of a- I think it’s a Dyson Dan: So it can spin at incredibly high speeds.
today is something a little bit different. We’re going to be showing you 10 simple speed hacks to make you quicker and give you better acceleration. So, let’s go. Hack number one, and to be fair, this is probably the most simple of all of the hacks we’re going to be showing you today and that is wearing lighter football boots. Now, wearing lighter football boots, in general, can make you 1% quicker. Studies have shown that 100 grammes difference on each foot can make 1% difference, so if you are someone at the very top of the game like Ronaldo, that could make all the difference. Now, when we look at some of the lightest weight boots on the market, of course, we’ve got the Puma Evospeed SL, incredibly light weight. We’ve also got the Nike Mercurial Vapour 11, again, a very light weight boot. I think to class a boot as light weight, it has to be under about 180 grammes, and trust me, comparing these to the old school T90 Lasers by Nike, massive difference, so though they might make a little difference on your feet, they might make a big difference in your head.

The first time I did a sonic episode on Game Theory was 5 YEARS AGO Which makes me stop and wonder, What else was going on 5 years ago? Flashback flashback flashback flashback FLASHBACK!!
I CAME IN LIKE A WRECKING BALL! *WHAT DOES THE FOX SAY?* *GANGNAM STYLE* *DEAD MEMES* (Why MatPat, why?) (DOGE!) OH OH OH OH BOY Maybe we shouldn’t be revisiting this era of Internet history.
* Intro starts * Hello Internet, welcome to GAME THEORY! Where between all the Nintendo, FNAF, Doki Doki, Fortnite lootboxes, I thought we needed a dose of our favorite blue hedgehog. Now a few months ago, I got a special request for a theory about the physics of Sonic the Hedgehog’s running ability from Dominic, An awesome member of the Theorist Community who I met through the Make a Wish Foundation and who you may remember as the voice of the internet from the Mario “How Deadly is the Bomb” episode. Anything, uh, you wanna say here Dominic? Uh… Make sure to subscribe to The Game Theorists! *Whispers* And mainly for Austin ’cause he’s my favorite… (HOW DARE YOU!) Last episode I did a video on the physics of Sonic, This channel had less than 50,000 SUBSCRIBERS! And now last month, we just crossed, 10 MILLION! Which means by the time we do another Sonic physics theory, It’s gonna be around 20 million, hopefully, maybe…
Assuming Youtube doesn’t implode on itself, Gaming channels don’t get demonetized to death, I don’t do anything horrendous to offend everyone, and the video game industry resists the urge to make every single game a battle royale style game with absolutely zero plot So basically, never gonna happen. But you know what, that’s probably for the best. Because just think of all the disturbing Sonic fanart, 20 million theorists could generate. *ECHOING FLASHFORWARD* (WOOSH) Anyway, when I met up with Dominic, which, let the record show, did not happen in my recording closet. We went out for pizza, Thank you very much His parents were there. I am not as creepy as I seem He asked me the following: If Sonic runs so fast, what would happen to his legs? Wouldn’t they wear out and get hurt? Which, honestly, is a completely legitimate question and completely deserves an answer. And even just stands to reason that it can’t be good for anyone much less a rodent thats basically a mango with legs to run that much and that fast. So today we’re putting this adorable little hedgehog’s feet to the test to see if Sonic would survive his own primary game mechanic or whether his arthritis by the end of the first level should be sending him to REHABILITATIONOPOLIS ZONE.
To figure out whether Sonic is actually going fast or whether he’s dead on his feet we have to know something about the actual mechanics of running. Running is something that a lot of us are lucky enough to take for granted but it also seems like common knowledge that running puts a lot of stress on your body. I mean, we’ve all heard the warnings, right? “Too much running is bad for you because of all the pounding of your joints on the pavement” Especially the force delivered on your knees Knees are what are called hinge joints, made up of just three bones and a relatively thin layer of protective padding called cartilage.
When running, every single step puts an immense amount of force on that one joint. To make matters worse, cartilage is one of the few types of tissue that doesn’t regenerate in the body. And after so much abuse it doesn’t seem unreasonable to assume that by the time Sonic’s a few levels in, he’s going to be hit with rigid stiffness in his knees, bones grinding against one other because he’s worn out the cartilage, throbbing, agonizing pain, and an extreme loss of mobility. In other words, Sonic would be demonstrating all the hallmarks of OSTEOARTHRITIS. But, in order to know for sure, we have to dig deeper.
Just how long is it going to take for Sonic’s knees to give out? One game? Two games? One level? I mean, he is running super fast and taking a lot of steps in that first act of Green Hill Zone. So let’s get to it FAST. As I said before, the knee is made up of three bones. Those bones are the femur, better known as the thigh bone, the patella, or kneecap, and the tibia, aka the shin.
Between all those bones you have two kinds of cartilage. Hyaline cartilage, which covers all the areas in which the bones articulate, and fibrocartilage, which acts as padding around the balls at the end of the bones. Articular cartilage and fibrocartilage are found in the knees of pretty much everything that has knee joints. And yes, that includes hedgehogs. But honestly, for the purposes of this episode, I had to stop treating Sonic like a hedgehog and treat him more like a human. And that’s for good reason. Hedgehogs don’t actually have the physical capacity to hold themselves up the way Sonic can. Their muscles just don’t support it. Their bones aren’t structured for standing upright on two legs. So in order to get any kind of real-world calculations here, we need to assume Sonic’s joints can function just like a normal person’s would. So let’s see what kind of force Sonic is producing. In other words, Sonic Forces! *BA DUM TSST* You get it? Cause… that was a game that came out? Called Sonic Forces? You know what? Sir Isaac Newton would’ve appreciated it, alright? In a study run by Southern Methodist University’s Locomotor Performance Lab, they calculated the force of running to be times Bodyweight when running at 5 meters per second.
And times body weight when running at ten meters per second. At the SMU lab, they use this kind of data to demonstrate that running force increases linearly with speed, making it really easy for us to calculate the force of running at higher speeds like the ones that Sonic is going to be running at. We’ll just need Sonic’s official weight and his speeds of–! Haha… oh God. *DUN DUN DUN!* We need to calculate Sonic’s speed! Now, if you’ve watched this channel over the last five or six years, then you know Sonic’s speed has been a bit of a sensitive subject for viewers of this show, BUT! I’m going to try to get a reasonable number of calculations so even BluHedgehog4Lyfe and I<3Sonic69 in the comments will be satisfied this time.
We have some canon information that we can absolutely start with, specifically according to Sega of Japan’s Sonic profile that Sonic weighs in at 35 kilograms, (77lb) which honestly is pretty heavy for a hedgehog but only about half the weight of your typical human. I also know, based on your very vehement comments from that Sonic is Slow episode, that Sonic actually has two officially canon heights, which are 3ft 3in tall for modern Sonic, and 2ft 6in for classic Sonic, which we know from the original Japanese Sonic CD game manual.
We also see the height difference at play in any game where classic Sonic and modern Sonic appear together, one great example is in Sonic generations, but to absolutely, 100% make sure that everyone is happy here, I ran all of today’s calculations with BOTH MEASUREMENTS. Now, to calculate Sonic’s speed I translated his canon height into pixel measurements so I could then get a pixel-to-centimeter ratio for each of three separate Sonic games: Sonic 1, Sonic 2, and Sonic Mania. And yes, technically all three of these should be classic Sonic heights, but again, I wanted to be thorough here. This is IMPORTANT because i wanted to to not only establish just a single Sonic speed, but his speed in the specific context of the game that he’s in at any given point in time. So using all of this overwrought logic and the different heights and the different pixel measurements across all of these different games, you get a shockingly wide range of speeds. Our lowest speed is short Sonic from Sonic One taking a brisk basic level jog: meters per second or just under 16 miles per hour.
And our fastest speed is tall Sonic in Sonic 2 at a whopping meters per second or miles per hour top speed… where I guess, he decided he really did wanna go… …somewhat fast? Or at least around the speed limit of a highway. For Sonic Mania, I even went so far as to calculate individual speeds for his different boosts, and special items. So I calculated everything from no-shoes Sonics, to Sonics in speed-shoes, to Sonics on speed boosters, and even comin’ off of springs. And despite running that whole gamut, Sonic Mania’s speed still mostly clocked in in the middle, with the slowest bring no-shoes Sonic at 17 miles per hour and the fastest being spring-loaded Sonic at 44 miles per hour.
Plugging in the top and bottom of our speed ranges here to calculate the type of forces that could expect upon impact, we’re lookin at 115 Newtons to 402 Newtons on each leg as it’s striking the ground. Now, for context when Usain Bolt ran the hundred meter sprint back in 2009, He clocked in at meters per second, and weighing in at 88 kilograms, EVEN HE is putting more force on his legs at 440 Newtons than Sonic is. But there’s an even BIGGER ISSUE here Remember how I said that too much running is bad for us because the pounding on our knees? Well, it’s a complete LIE! A total old wive’s tale! Multiple studies from NPR to Runner’s World Prevention all state that, quote: “Runners appear to have no more risk of developing osteoarthritis than nonrunners.” Believe me, I tried looking for other credible sources here to refute what I thought must’ve assuredly been bunk science.
Big Runner over here is trying to pull the wall over all of our eyes, but no. Quote again: “In a cross-sectional study of almost 75.000 runners, there was no evidence that running increases the risk for osteoarthritis, including marathon participation.” I. Was. SHOOKETH. And, believe me, this totally bums me out, because I’ll take any excuse to not exercise. But it turns out that running is, unfortunately, good for us.
The cartilage doesn’t wear away, it actually gets stronger when you use it. *mumbling* huzzah. Sorry, guys, it looks that I have to invest in a treadmill. So there you have it. The idea that running causes injuries is a total myth and has been debunked by repeated scientific studies. Sonic’s running would not be bad for his health AT ALL. This theory just, dammit, I literally feel defeated HOHO! WAIT A MINUTE! That’s it. play that back, ronnie. *laughing* It’s not the running that’s going to damage sonic, it’s the stopping. Look at how terrible that form is! This has got to be the thing that’s gunna do him in. After all. We know that’s he’s traveling really fast. and he’s just digging his heels into the ground. We can clearly see in the games how he’s stopping almost on a dime.
And turning around so quickly. That can not be good on his hinge joint of a knee! JUST when sonic thought he was out of the green hill zone he is in for a world of scientific hurt. we have talked about this problem in the past with everything from link’s hookshot to assassin’s creed’s leap of faith, but video game characters still can’t seem to learn their lessons about momentum. specifically that when you change it really fast, you tend to loose an arm. or rip yourself in half. or just plain kill yourself. so, is sonic changing momentum gonna shatter his knees into a thousand pieces? I can only hope. because then I can put it in the title and it’ll be really exciting and no one will claim clickbait! to figure this part out, I went back to the speed calculations again, except this time i didn’t just need to know his speed, I also needed to know how fast he stops. so once again I used that whole range of speeds calculated over multiple sonic heights and multiple sonic games using multiple sonic speed multipliers since the impact of stopping at 16 miles per hour versus 55 miles per hour is gonna look pretty different.
I calculated stopping speed using the same formula you would use to calculate the force needed to stop a car. This is at its core in energy transfer problem. So we basically need to calculate how much kinetic energy sonic is losing from stopping using the classic equation kinetic energy equals one half times mass times velocity squared. Then, figure out how much force that translates to using the energy force equation; energy = force times distance, and this all makes sense if you think back to physics, right? As sonic slows down He’s losing kinetic or movement energy. But, remember that energy can’t be destroyed so it has to go SOMEWHERE. In this case, to stop quickly, Sonic is gonna have to be losing alot of energy FAST. Which means that his legs are gonna have to take a big impact to get that kinetic energy to drop to zero (0) It’s not really HARD math, because we have all the numbers that we need its just that I did alot of permutations across all three games, two sonic heights and then all those speed boosts.
So THIS is a little slideshow I put together of me running ALL those calculations *fangirling over math* ahhh so exciting!* This is me and Steph doing one half mV squared in Sonic 1 for short Sonic, and this is me and Steph doing one half mV squared for short Sonic in Sonic 2 and this is me doing SOLOYOLO one half mV squared for short Sonic and Sonic and Knuckles and this is us just one half mV squaring it up anddd a few more SSLIDESSS ANNND were done *clap* In calculating how much kinetic energy sonic is LOSING, I notice two things right away. ONE big factor in kinetic energy is mass. How much somethings gonna weigh. Sonic only weighs 35kg Which is just the average weigh of an 11 year old girl in the US.
So no matter how fast Sonic is going, he’s always gonna have less kinetic energy because he’s just so light-weigh. Once I calculated all the kinetic energy’s of all of out sonics, We had a range of just over 1000 joules of energy loss to over 10,000 joules of energy loss. That last calculation was for tall modern sonic if he was in sonic 2. NOW, that sounds Like it’s a HUGEE spread.
And honestly, it is but the actual force of the stop has to do with another big variable here, and that is stopping distance. One detail in the sonic franchise that I never noticed, and am only now appreciating that I have started to do the research on it, is that sonic has a slightly different stopping distance across each game And as he goes faster, His stopping distance tends to increase. Which is what you’d expect the real world behavior to be like.
Good attention to detail, guys. SO AGAIN I did all the same calculations using pixel measurements From tall and short sonic across all three games, Across all different scenarios. Based on pixel measurements and sonic’s stopping animation in each game, I found that The stopping distances vary from just under half a meter in Sonic 2 using short sonic to six point two three meters in sonic MANIA If you choose to calculate using tall sonic. THAT IS AN ENORMOUS range BUT again, gotta make sure that I<3Sonic69 is happy. If you see him in the comments, make sure you say hi. I’m sure he could use a friend today. SO finally, after getting all the kinetic energy calculations and all the respective stopping distances I PLUGGED IT BACK into the force = energy x distance equation and came up with the range of stopping forces of SONIC’S LEGS throughout the various games.
The force’s ranged from 641 newtons for short sonic in sonic two, ALL THE WAY UP TO 2395 newtons for tall sonic oof in sonic two. AND WHAT DO ALL THESE NUMBERS MEAN MATPAT?? did we CRUSH sonic’s bones into a thousand pieces when he tries to stop ded (dead) in his tracks? IS THE FORCE SO GREAT, that his legs would fall off or EXPLODES upon impact before Green Hill zone is finished??? My little theorist heart went pitter-pat as I looked up the scale of what these numbers translate to AND I FOUND… THAT THEY DON’T DO ANYTHING. wait… what? that can’t be..
Right! Carry the two, don’t forgot the square divided by the fraction.. NOnoOoOoOoO! Sonic doesn’t just NOT shatter the bones in his body, he doesn’t even break an ankle! I was sooo positive that he would meet the same sort of end all all the other video game characters that I have running into walls, leaping off of buildings, in the like, but MIRACULOUSLY, SOMEHOW no matter HOW I slice the numbers, sonic is 100 percent FINE. On the low end 1,000 newtons is the average bite force of an adult. About 225 pounds of a force. Which is the force that body-builders can achieve lifting huge weights. Obviously, It’s not going to be breaking any bones. At our maximum force calculation of 2,385 newtons, There is a chance that sonic could tear his ACL Which will technically tear a 2,312 newtons of force.
But, that’s ONLY if you’re gonna take the force on one leg from a couple of vary specific angles. Meaning that in most cases Sonic is going to be completely fine. If we had any CHANCE at breaking a bone, We’d need to almost DOUBLE the ammount of force on sonic’s legs. Up to about 4,000 newtons to break his tibia. And even HIGHER if we wanted a thiccer (thicker) bone to break. OR his bones to SHATTER. It just turns out in the game whether the designers meant to or not They made sonic, 1; Light enough, 2; slow enough and 3; gave him enough stopping distance To slow him down in a safe manor. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but, It looks like sonic got me.
OOOR did he? I measured his speed in a variety of 2D games using a variety of speed boosters. BUT WHAT IF sonic IS truly able to roll around at the speed of sound like the song indicates It turns out that if ya run the numbers, the stopping distance from sonic is gonna be about 69 meters. And the force of the stop would be 29,842 newtons 30 THOUSAND NEWTONS. Which is MORE THAN Enough the SHATTER most of the bones in sonic’s body. HUZZAH! AND yes, that’s the sound of me celebrating a fictional hedgehog BREAKING EVERY single bone in his body… Because here’s the long story short, if sonic truly Lived up to his own height, he’d be completely debilitated every time he tried to stop So it’s here, loyal theorists, that I leave you with a choice.
Either, sonic destroys his body every time he fires up his top speed, or we can just agree that sonic is slow.BUT HEY THAT’S JUST A THEORY, A GAME THEORY. Hope you enjoyed it, Dominic! If you want to see my first ever controversial “sonic is slow” theory, then SPEED your way over to the box on the LEFT. Look at how much more sophisticated the process has gotten since the last 6 years I’m actually impressed. We’ve come a long way. LONG GONE ARE THE DAYZ (days) where I strung a bunch of sonic png’s together and then based sonic’s time to run that distance by the time It took a speedrunner to get through the level. OR race YOUR way over the the subscribe button! Where, if we finally hit 20 million subscribers, we’ll be able to do ANOTHER PHYSICS of sonic the hedgehog video. You made it this deep into THIS video where only 10 million subscribers away! – CC by Rezzy Scotchy.
I’ve known Hartwell House since 1967. Then it became a hotel and that was when I first visited with my husband and was absolutely bowled over with the history, with the peace and tranquility. Thereafter it has become a very special place for us to come, but also to bring friends and family. It’s a very sociable place. People who come who are on their own, and it actually makes such a difference to their lives. Two thousand acres in the heart of the Vale of Aylesbury. An oasis of peace. Hartwell was always intended to be one of the great gardens of England. It’s a place of peace, tranquility and solitude to escape from the busy world. So here we are at the end of Hartwells’ lake. Probably the most tranquil spot in this most tranquil of estates. And HS2 will be coming down behind the rifle spinney here and behind this belt of trees at the end of the lake, before it disappears off up towards Waddesdon and to the north.
Here we are now on the north side of the house. The entrance front. And we’ve got the lake on our left, and then we’ve got the house with the entrance. The statue of Prince Frederick, and the oriel window looking straight up this avenue. And HS2 going through will cut across just this side of that hedge on the horizon. Hartwell House and parkland have played an important role in the history of both the local area and the country for the last thousand years. With the care and dedication of the National Trust and your help we can preserve this unique treasure for future generations to come..
I guess that is surely a foolish guy I guess they are supposed to be stupid It’s the first time to have such an experience But there was also such a thing before. I do not mean to bring you closer to you Even if it is more important than anyone for me Every time I open my heart, it gets painful I do not mean to get too close to you Even if it is the most important thing for you Because I am afraid to be left behind by mud But as I was hurt by you, I gradually cried out And whenever you can leave it to me, the tears dry up quickly And as you go out, love for you has been getting cold Baby, we do not go well, it’s sad but that’s the truth I am too used to goodbye (I’m too used to say goodbye) I think that it’s a bad guy I think that it is a cold one I’m just trying to keep stupidity I just try to protect my soul I do not mean to bring you closer to you Even if it is more important than anyone for me Every time I open my heart, it gets painful I do not mean to get too close to you Even if it is the most important thing for you Because I am afraid to be left behind by mud But as I was hurt by you, I gradually cried out And whenever you can leave it to me, the tears dry up quickly And as you go out, love for you has been getting cold Baby, we do not go well, it’s sad but that’s the truth I I am too used to goodbye (I’m too used to say goodbye) There is no such thing as to show you a crying face (I will not show you a crying face) I am too used to goodbye (I’m too used to say goodbye) It is useless.
(I am accustomed to goodbye too much) (I am accustomed to goodbye too much) (I will not show you a crying face) Ah (I am accustomed to goodbye too much) Because every time I was hurt, I gradually cried. And whenever you can leave it to me, the tears dry up quickly And as you go out, love for you has been getting cold Baby, we do not go well, it’s sad but that’s the truth I am accustomed to goodbye too.
The number one question I get and it’s been the number one question or inquiry that I have gotten for years is Jimmy how do I grow on YouTube Jimmy how do I launch a channel how do I get to a hundred subs how do I get to a thousand subs what am I doing wrong why can’t I grow is YouTube against me is it pure luck to blow up on YouTube these are the type of questions that I get tweeted at and in the comment section and in my email all of the time so I thought I would put together a video to help you guys get started on your YouTube path if this is something that you have decided to do and know there is no special formula in here that you’re going to shoot up and have PewDiePie numbers but I am going to give you some insight some steps and some thoughts that maybe some of these other videos that have done this didn’t quite touch on and as we get started in the comments section let me know what your channel is all about as this video goes out I will be spending some time checking the channels that people put in the comment sections as well I’m always looking for a cool new channel to watch so I present to you ten steps on how to get to 1000 subscribers on YouTube step number one upload consistently and you’re probably saying come on Jimmy we’ve we’ve all heard this one this is anything special no it’s not but it is a foundation of how you can grow a channel if you look at the successful channels out there most of them rely on consistent uploads whether that be daily uploads – daily uploads I see some bigger channels that do five daily uploads or even by daily uploads so they upload every other day but whatever they do their schedule is consistent I have seen so many channels die over the years I’m gonna take a week off I’m not feeling it I’m gonna take a month off I’ll come back and I’ll hit it super hard when I’m ready and the second they do that their channel suffers there used to be a time on YouTube where you could upload one to two videos a week if you were a big channel and you could sustain but it’s not that way anymore there may be a very a very special small group that can do it but for the most part it’s consistency and repetition because people want to see what they want to see and if they don’t see what they want to see from you they will go find it somewhere else because there are a million other channels in line ready to hand them content if you aren’t step number two and this is going to sound kind of off for a second but hear me out on this trending topics and clickbait now what do I mean by that now if you want to do your channel and you are a fan of growing roses in a garden then by all means go grow roses in a garden but that doesn’t seem to be a very popular topic right now on YouTube so what do I mean by trending and clickbait you need to focus on trending topics and clickbait now hold on Jimmy what do you mean clickbait how dare you tell people that the way to grow their channel is clickbait let’s get in reality people okay I want you to come with me for just a second and I want you to I want you to look all of the big channels have figured out ways to incentivize people to click on their videos now I am NOT saying clickbait in the terms of lying about your content but it is a special art when you can make your thumbnail in your title coexist with the content in the video and make people want to click on it you want them to click on it’s no different than when somebody goes to Walmart and they go to the checkout and all of those candy bars and packs of gum are lined there at a certain level they paid somebody to study on what certain height level and where to put those within hands reach because people are impulsive and they will buy it it is no different than the YouTube sub box people are impulsive they will click on something that they feel they want to know what’s actually going on with that story behind the thumbnail so figure out how to involve your content with trending topics that people want to watch remember you want to get to a thousand subs you need to be putting out content that is interesting to people and you may have your special genre that you want to do but you got to figure out a way to mix the trending topics with your content and with that you need to know how to title and how – actually clickbait I hate the word clickbait because it’s more about creativity the ones that are clickbait that are bad are the ones that just false they give you false information there’s nothing in context with their content relevant with their thumbnail and title those are bad but somebody that’s creative to get you to click on a video with a cool thumbnail and a title that is relevant to me that is perfect if you guys would like a focused video on exactly that how to title tag and thumbnail your videos and focus on trending topics let me know in the comments section and we could do that as a follow-up video to this one step number three on your road to 1000 subscribers people like to judge on the end result of where a youtuber is but people rarely see the grind that went into where that youtuber got where they’re going what I mean by that is everybody sees PewDiePie or everybody sees ksi or your favorite vlog channel or roosterteeth and people don’t put that with all the hard work and the grinding that these channels did for years most of these big channels have been youtubing it for multiple years we’re talking over five years yes there are some that hit lightning in a bottle and they go viral but for the most part for the most part your dedicated channels that are out there have been grinding for years and people tend to forget that so when you’re looking at and you’re looking up at all these massive channels don’t let it deter you don’t let it bring you down remember they were where you are at at one point in their career that is big it’s mental focus is a huge part of this you have to have clarity and you have to have consistency and not let anything affect you or bother you all you can focus on is your reality your little bubble of what you’re doing with your YouTube you can’t judge you versus somebody else step number four and this goes without saying everybody knows this but I have to put it in there just in case there is somebody that isn’t aware of it equip it you have to have decent quality for your videos we are past the stage of 480p people and I know most everybody knows that but I still go on YouTube I still browse and I still see people uploading content like that and it’s you can get even you could get decent quality even with a a cell phone camera now so equipment and I understand equipment is expensive so do it in baby steps with what you need but get the base equipment research and once again I could do another video and help you guys out with that if you wanted to as well but there is equipment out there that is affordable you don’t have to go out and get the thousand dollar mic that your favorite youtuber has or this amazing camera that this guy has there is equipment out there that you can use that is affordable so budget shop there is nothing wrong with budget shopping I know you want to have that gaming setup or that YouTube set up and let everybody see it but that’s for a different time that’s for down the road don’t focus on that right now step number five there are no original ideas well there may be occasionally but they’re very very rare most ideas have been used and reused and rehashed and turned around and manipulate it into something else and that’s okay they aren’t really around anymore because we’re on the internet we have access to everything but it is okay for you to put your spin on a popular idea there is nothing wrong with that forget all the people that say oh don’t copy his content or you’re just doing what he did if you see something fun like a top ten or a series or a vlogging channel or hell if the trend right now is mailing yourself in a box if you want to give it a try in your own spin go for it don’t listen to people you can do what you want just put your spin on it a perfect example is my top ten series I in no way created top tens at all wasn’t even close to the first person but what I did was put my spin on it and made it a community feel with Twitter so that’s how I’ve done my top tens on Sundays I involve Twitter they get to be showcased in the top tens and that is my little spin on top tens you guys can do the same thing there is nothing wrong with taking an idea and putting your spin on it step number six don’t battle sub boxes deering at prime time what I mean by that is there is a prime time for YouTube for most people it’s usually between 1 p.m.
To about 4 to 5 p.m. depending on your time zone that is when the bulk of the videos go up as a small Channel don’t battle that primetime sub box placement you’re not going to win you’re just going to get swallowed up so check your analytics dive into your analytics see who’s watching see when they’re watching and then upload off a time that you can get away with it’s not during Pride time go it during an off-peak time now you may not get as many views okay but you will be able to get out there a little more because you aren’t saturated during the primetime that most of your bigger youtubers are uploading so I would suggest in the evening or depending on your time zone in the morning just try to work your way around the primetime of sub boxes because you will you will get swallowed up you’ll get frustrated and nobody will see your content step number seven interact and this goes without saying but I’m going to say it anyway reply to comments tweets anything that you can do to show these people that are taking five minutes out of their day to engage with you in a busy busy world where things are going fast show them that you actually care engage with them that is one thing I have always done and I will continue to do is engage with my viewer base it is the most important thing because they’re there for you you need to be there for them as well step number eight I want to post what I want to post I’ve heard this numerous times well I want to post what I want to post I don’t care what goes on well there’s two choices here there’s a there’s a fork in the road for you if you want to go down the left path and post whatever you want to post then by all means do it you have free will choice and it’s a free world and you can do that but if you want to go down the path of growing your channel you have to put that to the side it can’t be I want to post what I want to post mentality yes you can post what you’re passionate about but like I said earlier it needs to be able to connect to trending topics that people are looking for and they have to want to click on it so yes post if you like video games post video games if you like vlogs post vlogs but you need to make sure that those are intertwined with what people are actually searching on YouTube step number nine thumbnails now we talked a little bit about it in step number two with trending topics click baits and titles but thumbnails is by far the most important thing you need to learn Photoshop get somebody that can help you you want to have i popping thumbnails because they are the first line of defense and getting somebody incentivized to click on your content a lot of people don’t even read titles anymore they simply judge by the thumbnail and it is to me the most important piece of getting somebody to go watch your videos and once again there’s a fine line in an art to making it a clickbait thumbnail that is also contextual to the content that you have in the video so thumbnails thumbnails thumbnails focus on your thumbnails step number 10 the final step of this video have realistic expectations on your growth do not start your channel and look at all the big channels and say I want to be growing five thousand subs a day and five hundred thousand views a day I want to be there if you focus on that you’ll never get there because you’re focused on what they’re doing instead of your little bubble and your reality focus on yourself focus on your expectations if you start out and you get ten subscribers the first week try to get twenty subscribers the next week if you get 50 views on a video for the first time try to get a hundred views on the next one baby steps your way up and you’ll find as you go it’ll start to snowball on its own and it has nothing to do with you it has to do with your body of work now I’m going to give you guys two thoughts really quick this is a long video but think about this one you have an advantage being small I know that sounds crazy and YouTube is just a whirlwind of crap right now and nobody knows how to figure out the algorithm so on so forth but if the algorithm is what people are saying it is and it’s got to do something with click-through rate of your subs it is advantageous for smaller channels because they don’t have all of those dead subscribers so you may be an advantage by being small if you build that core base and they come back every video and watch you are going to see some growth you’re going to see some snowball effect as you go if you stay consistent and the other little piece of advice from me to you is group up find people that have the same focus and drive as you that are around your size there’s a reason that the sideman do so well or the faze clan does well or the TK house or all these little groups they’re not little anymore but these groups of people that work together with their content and they help each other grow so if you can find people around your size that want to collab and intertwine one shout out doesn’t do it anymore people not in 2017 but if you find some people that consistently want to produce content with you you’re at an advantage and that is it guys ten steps to help you get your first thousand subscribers in a week in 2017 on YouTube I hope this was helpful if it was drop a like on the video tell me about your channel in the comment sections and I will be checking them out as this video goes out hope you have a fantastic day and I’ll see you later
